A Panotti from the Rutland Psalter, England, ca. 1260.
The Panotti were humans with large ears, fabled to either live on the "All-Ears Islands" of Scythia or in South Asia. Their ears were said to be so large that they could wrap them around their bodies and use them as blankets.
